Open House at the Textile Heritage Museum, Burlington, April 13, 14, & 15, 1 pm to 5 pm

refreshments, demonstrations, two new exhibits: 

WWII Uniforms & Historic Items:  all branches of service, both ladies & gents

Vintage Quilts, Linens & Lace:  more than 30 outstanding heirloom quilts including many from Alamance County, a wide variety of linens, and many gorgeous samples of all types of lace.

Directions:  From Burlington, take Rte 62 North to Glencoe Street adjacent to the Haw River.

A photo of one vintage quilt called "Whig's Defeat" which I believe was made around mid 1800's when they lost the election.....this party was trying to unite the North and the South, the nation's last great hope to prevent secession.
